This report 42 presents the results of SARS-CoV-2 contamination of wastewater at the entrance of 11 wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) at the beginning of the second week of 2021. At the beginning of week 02, the SARS-CoV-2 RNA fluxes in sewage treatment plants were still important, but with a decreasing trend, indicating a medium prevalence of the virus in sewage at national and regional level. Looking at the results of the latest samples analysed, a slight downward trend again seems to be emerging. This now corresponds to a reduction of about 1.4 log compared to the maximum peak of the current wave. The results will need to be verified in future analyses.
