This report 47 presents the results of SARS-CoV-2 contamination of wastewater at the entrance of 8 wastewater treatment plants (Beggen, Schifflane, Pétange, Bettembourg, Mersch, Grevenmacher, Uebersyren and Echternach) at the beginning of the week 06 of 2021. The SARS-CoV-2 RNA fluxes present in wastewater treatment plants at the beginning of week 06 indicate an average prevalence of the virus in wastewater at national and regional level. A slight upward trend may be discernible. However, we must remain cautious in our interpretation and wait for the results of the next analyses to be able to identify a real trend. At the level of individual wastewater treatment plants, certain geographical disparities appear. An upward dynamic is observed at the Schifflange wastewater treatment plant, while the RT-qPCR signal is close to the limit of quantification of our tests for the other treatment plants, in particular those of the SIDEST.
